Who We Are at Mountain Top Koi
Our Mission
At Mountain Top Koi, we are dedicated to providing healthy and beautiful Koi fish. Our mission is to ensure that every customer leaves with a healthy fish that meets their expectations. From beginners to experts, we have a Koi for everyone!
On the farm
Our Ponds
We have 75 ponds fed by natural springs for breeding and growing the highest quality domestic koi possible. In any given year we will have between 20 and 30 spawns across many varieties to bring our customers a great selection to choose from. If you can name the variety, there is a good chance that we have it available.
Our Facility
In addition to our ponds, we also have nearly 4,000 square feet of heated space to continue to grow koi and goldfish through the winter months, and a 2,000 square foot warehouse for our retail dry goods, packing, and shipping. We are going to be breaking ground on another 10,000 square foot warehouse to expand both fish and dry goods offerings.

When you visit us here at the farm, you will immediately notice our unique and ALMOST world-famous octagon retail ponds. We now have a total of 17 retail ponds stocked all season long to provide you with the greatest koi selection possible with sizes ranging from 3 inches to 36 inches.
We have Koi ranging in price from the beginner/hobbyist level all the way to the expert keeper! Our fish stand out amongst others by following the Japanese standard through an intense sorting process.
The Breeding Program
Each year our main objective is the same: To produce better quality koi that we have ever produced.
Our breeding groups are carefully selected to continue only the specific genetics that we choose. This allows us to maintain and track specific blood lines even within our own breeding program, which allows for great year over year improvements.
We do not group or flock spawn our koi.
Letting The Colors Shine Through
While our primary focus is on the standard varieties, we also believe that there is beauty in the unique.
Each year as we are sorting through millions of koi fry from our spawns, we are always keeping an eye out for that special fish that we believe has the potential to be something amazing.
When we find one, we are sure to keep it and watch its development. This practice has allowed us to create koi that others will say don't exist. Those that have visited our farm in person know they do!
